CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Overview of the Field Work Placement
The ward executive Office of United Republic of Tanzania (URT) at Ubaruku ward Mbozi Distric which particularly attempted to facilitate cooperation of citizens and the government, to maintain a sense of accountability among citizens, creating awareness to citizens, and to represent the government and leading citizens on different social and economic development plans and programs which take place in their wards.
We were there learning and receiving training on HIV/AIDS, searching for availability of adult learning programs, searching how facilitation and promotion of adult learning is, also looking for the challenges that face adult learning at Mlangali ward, and in addition to that as the fact that we are the students and in way or another where there was an advice or education that we were able to provide to the citizens of Mlangali ward, we advised them and we also educated them.
At the point that we were there to study, it is true that the citizens of Ubaruku taught us many things that may be if we were to stay there for a bite more, we are sure that we could receive more. Citizens and leaders tried to explain well to answer the questions we asked, they also taught us things required in adult learning studies but they were not written in a given guideline questions.
Therefore, many tasks around there and the learning objective of conducting this field work is to develop knowledge and efficiency practically especially for lesson learned in a class on adult learning and applying its principles.
